Completed in 2008 on Nanbin Road at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers, the complex was masterplanned with John Portman and Denmark’s Schmidt Hammer Lassen, with a dry-landscape garden by Yoshishige Ogawa. Smaller units in the first phase now operate as boutique stays and cafés.
